Responsibilities:

The individual we seek for this role must possess strong analytical, planning, problem solving, negotiation and organizing capabilities with skills relating to credit risk assessment management. As the Credit Administration Manager, you will be responsible for the accurate recording, administering, monitoring and timely servicing of corporate facilities and oversight and management of Bank credit policy and procedures and system, relating to recognition, quantification and monitoring of credit risk exposures.

Reporting in to the Head of Transaction Management, you will also be responsible for all statutory report compliance with Central Bank regulation by reporting of credit information based on the lending portfolio profile. You will manage the lending administration, supervise and authorise loan drawdown, roll over, and repayment and control and manage the reporting of credit information etc., with minimal risk exposure. You would also be required to monitor the preparation of daily reports and monthly internal reports, including providing inputs on regulatory reporting requirement to be produced by Finacle, ensuring the submission of all external and internal reporting in an accurate and timely manner. Additionally, you will take on responsibilities relating to leasing transaction with ANZ Melbourne and prepare tax journal entries, tax payments etc.

Requirements:

You are expected to have a sound knowledge of lending practices/systems, credit policy, risk management, procedures and Group accounting/control procedures with an in-depth knowledge of balance sheets and the ability to interpret all forms of financial data including cash flows, forecasts etc. Prior experience in managing problem loans and recovery strategies will stand you in good stead, as will a good knowledge of back office procedures. Excellent communication skills are a given. Ideally you will have a strong background in financial accounting with a preferable tertiary qualification in a financial/accounting discipline.

This world leading retail bank based in West Yorkshire is looking for a seasoned Analyst/Modeller with experience within the retail banking or consumer finance arenas to join their Decision Science department. The role will involve actively working with Risk, Collection and Recovery teams to execute Decision Science and scorecard development projects within Joint Venture loans and credit risk. Wherever required, you will act as project manager to scope, specify, plan, execute and implement decision science solutions and ensure that customer centric solutions are delivered within time and cost constraints to meet expected quality standards. You will support team leaders in coaching and developing other analysts, contribute to improving modelling and scorecard methodologies in line with best practices, and engage in R&D as appropriate to explore cutting-edge decision science and modelling techniques.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Lead or actively contribute to decision science modelling / deep-dive analytic projects. Act as project manager where required to ensure project is properly scoped, specified, planned, executed and implemented
*Liaise with other parties, e.g. IT, finance, business change management and external Bureau, etc. to ensure projects are executed smoothly and solutions can be successfully implemented to deliver tangible business benefits
*Support Decision Science team leader in working with Personal Lending Risk, particularly Collection & Recovery and Loss Forecasting teams, to understand business strategies, processes and systems. Identify opportunities to improve risk management, revenue growth and profitability enhancement through decision science solutions
*Keep up to speed on the development of cutting-edge decision science techniques and the industrial best practices in applying such methods
*Regularly monitor the performance of risk scorecards or other predictive models. Recommend / initiate model redevelopment when required
*Coach and develop other analysts through knowledge transfer, best practice sharing and training sessions
*Provide advice on statistical or other quantitative modelling techniques to other areas within the bank group where appropriate.
*Perform duties as requested by team leader.

REQUIREMENTS:
*A dedicated, well motivated and result-driven self-starter who can effectively work with others in a multi-disciplinary and fast moving environment to deliver high quality decision science solutions in a timely manner
*Highly numerate, with a degree in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, statistics, physics, operational research, or economics
*A seasoned modeller with at least 2-3 years working experience in retail banking or consumer finance sector possessing good business knowledge and acumen
*Strong information technology skills with a computer based statistical package such as SAS, SPSS, Matlab, C++, SQL etc.
*Good knowledge of data mining, statistics, simulation, optimisation and modelling (e.g. regression; stochastic processes; CHAID; clustering, artificial intelligence, etc.)
*Ability to communicate effectively to fellow decision science analysts, non-technical colleagues and to management, including formal presentations
*Experience with bureau data is an advantage but NOT essential.
